Word of the Month: Initiate-  to begin, set going, or originate
It’s very important that we initiate a good attack plan on back to school. Start thinking about some ways to make the transition of getting back a little easier and smoother on the family. Later in the week ask them if any of them have some methods for this?

Jiu Jitsu Curriculum: Wrestling based Double leg, Sprawls, Spin Behinds *Of course add more or less based off of the group including additional techniques or just details. Utilizing finishes from the previous week if they can put it all together in a final sequence would be cool .

Muay Thai curriculum: Every combo should include an uppercut and a hook.

*Tim & Jesse are out a good bit this week. Any extra help is greatly appreciated.

Good luck to Cody on his MMA Fight this week

This is the last week before school starts back. We will have many who are taking their last out of town trips for the summer and getting their things in order so expect slightly lowered class numbers, but be ready for School to start back and bigger classes to come.

Productivity: Mindfullness is a big part of productivity. Make sure to be focused on accomplishing one thing at a time, much like crossing things off a check list. When you have so many things to do it can be difficult and overwhelming. Prioritize and Execute like in extreme ownership. how does an elephant eat a whale or something, one bite at a time.

Jiu Jitsu Adults: last week of crucifix.
Jiu Jitsu Youth: Finish with back mount escapes to top position and race to the top drills like when they lay on their sides back to back. and other drills that have that idea of neutral-esque scramble hard and get to the top.

Muay Thai: this is the adult techniques we need to prepare white/red and red for on 8/31. Let’s get everyone ready make sure they have an idea of how to perform these techniqes properly.

What are some ways that can help us be productive?
-Daily to do list
-Calendar
-Mindfulness (being able to focus on one task at a time)
Why is productivity important? Allows us to succeed on and off the mats, in the classroom, workplace etc. Leads to having greater success later in life. Gives one the ability to focus on the things they enjoy rather than the things they don’t.

Curriculum
BJJ Youth- More back mount control, submissions, escapes
Adults- Crucifix stuff

Week of 7/8-7/14: Productivity

New word of the Month guys

Productivity refers to how well you manage time and end-product quality when completing tasks. Doing more chores in less time is productive, as is writing an excellent report in the same or a shorter amount of time as it would take to write an average report. And sometimes, being productive means knowing when to take a break and relax so you can better accomplish your tasks at a later time.
Ask the class what are some ways they think they can be more productive this summer, which is a time where many decide to get lazy.

Curriculum: Youth & Beginner Adult Duck under to rear body lock mat return to back mount (pick up any offense defense and controls that we need to continue)

Youth MT Fundamentals: seen screenshot below. Focus on these techniques this week and next week.

Word of the Month: Freedom the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint.

Week 1: The 4th of July is Independence Day for the United States. Before becoming a country, the U.S. was a group of colonies owned by Great Britain. On July 4th, 1776, the founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence and announced their independence from Great Britain.

Without this freedom we would not be able to pursue happiness for our lives in the way we want.
