Week of 7/10-7/15: Salutation
Hey everyone, I hope this week went smooth for everyone. I know I & Jesse have appreciated all of the support offered from you guys to him and his family. We will be having a benefit Roll a thon or seminar or something on an upcoming weekend or during class even. I want to let Jesse get some time to get some things in order before we announce an event. If someone wants to give now please just point them in the direction of the goundme that his best friend and manager had set up for him.
This week I’ll be out of town until Wednesday when I get back. I’m getting the opportunity to go and shoot at a course put on some former DEVGRU Operators, they just asked if I’d come at no cost to me other than the ride out. Gotta say yes anytime high level performers want to share information with you. I appreciate all the help moving into next week. I’ll be making the schedule, if there’s Any issues, just let me know and I’ll make modifications as needed.
Word of the Month: Salutation-
a gesture or utterance made as a greeting or acknowledgment of another’s arrival or departure.
“we greeted them but no one returned our salutations”
With school starting in a month, it’s important to be able to give a proper greeting or salutation. Ask the students what are some ways you can greet someone you already know when you want to start a conversation, then ask how they think they should greet someone when it’s just in passing. Give them some feedback.
Adult Jiu Jitsu: Mostly LIVE. This week the students had a great time with all live goes, positional as well as regular rolling. Let’s get one more week of this. If we do have some trials, of course call the audible and work some fundamental that anyone could use. After working the arm bar position past several weeks, I could see the Triangle choke being a natural progression.
Youth Jiu Jitsu: Push pull Triangle Choke setup
ADV Youth JIU Jitsu: Move into omaplata rolling log sweep off the counter to the triangle choke.
Muay Thai: Standby
