Week of 11/8-11/14
Hope everyone is doing good. We had some good classes last week. Good to see that attendance bumping back up. WOW what an incredible seminar set from Yves. The ground was good, the Striking was SUPERB. Fighting someone of the opposite stance can be very difficult for many. I’ll be out Saturday doing a Women’s Defense seminar in Cordele, GA. I know Jesse is out of state Fri/Sat. Joe and Tim Rhodes are gone some this week, and Katelyn is gone on Tuesday. So I’ve got some re-arranging to do. I will post M/Tuesday schedules as I def know what they are.
Decency. I’m sure the intoduction to the word was done last week. What does it mean to you to be a decent person, a decent JIU JITSU STUDENT!!!. Let the students know what you think is decent behavior on the mat and how their decency translates to your respect(the WOM in January).
Beginner: Guard Attacks off of side mount recoveries.
Intermediate:Let’s get started with some Butterfly Guard. Escape bottom side mount and/or bottom half guard to butterfly guard. Hook Sweep for half guard recovery, and hand fighting to arm drag in the open for side mount recovery. Determine which one you think is easiest based off of the skill level of the group!
